 EDITOR REVIEW: DOWNTOWN. Knitters have long-prized yarn made from the soft, strong hair – called qiviut – of the musk ox. The resulting products are unshrinkable, extremely durable, and 10 times warmer than wool. This co-op sells the products of more than 250 native knitters. Caps, shawls, mittens, and scarves carry the patterns unique to the village where they were made.
